Where: Kravis Center, Conference Room 321, 3rd Floor, South Elevator
What: You will learn how the award process works and what differentiates the winners from the rest. You will also learn some basics about starting a business.
This session will provide you with an overview of the award process. You will learn how entries are judged, be alerted to important dates, and be informed of the topics you’ll need to address to have a shot at the award. You will learn about past winners and why they received the award. Professor Janet Smith will discuss how the new Center for Innovation and Entrepreneur may be helpful to you in the process.
Building A Web Venture Workshop: Presented by CMC Alumni Entrepreneur, Adam Altman ’99
You’ll learn about starting your own web based business. Mr. Altman will share his experience building three web businesses. He will also discuss the distinction between choosing a “build-your-own” technology versus leveraging existing technology and how it impacts costs, timeline and project risk.
The Experts: Professor Jay Conger, Professor Janet Smith, CMC Alumni Entrepreneur Adam Altman and previous award recipient Chad Newbry ’14.
