Directions and parking information: The conference will be held at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum – you may find the address and driving directions here. You may park in the lot on E. 8th Street and N. Columbia Ave. (see map) or on the lot on E. 6th Street and N. Mills Ave. (see map).

KLI is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2014.  As a key part of our of anniversary events, the Kravis-de Roulet Conference will be held on Friday, February 28th, and Saturday, March 1st, 2014.

The 22nd annual Kravis-de Roulet leadership conference will contribute to the understanding, value, and impact of social innovation in renewing and transforming societies.

Social Innovation and Leadership

Social innovators as leaders are designing and orchestrating multi-sector, community-based ecosystems to deliver social value, create systemic change, and achieve sustainable impact. Today, countless innovative approaches are applied to solve the world’s greatest challenges both at a local and global level.

Conference Structure

This conference will bring together scholars, social entrepreneurs, experts in the field, community leaders, and student changemakers, to explore social innovation in its many dimensions.

Day 1: Symposium on Social Innovation in Education

During the first day, the conference will engage leading scholars in the field and social entrepreneurs in a provocative dialogue focused on accelerating the role of higher education in developing Millennials as leaders in social innovation, presenting theory, research, and working models.

Day 2: Conference
The second day will feature the same leaders, educators, and students in structured dialogues focused on the state of the field and presentation of models in social innovation, and will involve a larger audience of community and social sector leaders, educators, and students.

Particular focus will be in three topical areas: Education, Health, and Poverty Alleviation, with an overarching theme of Leadership. Within each of these areas, models of innovation and sustainable impact will be examined.
