Restructuring Analyst, Lazard
Sam Kaplan is an analyst in the New York Lazard restructuring group where he focuses on advising stressed and distressed companies through bankruptcy situations and strategic liability management opportunities. After he finishes his two year program at Lazard, Sam will join the Apollo private equity group in New York in the summer of 2017.
In addition to his role as a Kravis Fellow, Sam serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Harlem Baseball Hitting Academy, a not-for-profit organization that aims to help underprivileged youth in New York City gain college educations through baseball scholarships.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Economics from Pomona College, where he was awarded Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
